Paused… and Resuming

I have paused writing on this blog for almost 2 years because of change in personal circumstances. Among all, I have been occupied with my training in Systemic Family Psychotherapy. Whilst I will resume to write here, one key theme is to reflect on the training especially in contrasting with practices in the non-therapeutic world.
I am aware that I will look at it as a person who worked before in the commercial world, has been practicing coaching and organizational consultancy, and lived in different parts of the world. I have my biases …. and hopefully I can be aware of them, at least become better aware going forward. My perspective would probably be different from some readers who have long been in the field of psychotherapy or family work.
I am excited to resume writing here. The original intent of the blog still works for me i.e. written reflection helps me learn and connect with others.
Around the psychotherapy training, I will reflect on ideas like ’Social Constructionism’, ‘Self Reflexivity’, ‘Internalized Others Interviewing’, particular approaches like ‘Structural Family Therapy‘, ‘Strategic Family Therapy’, etc. Of course, I will also continue to reflect on my learning, reading and experience in my coaching work.

Welcome back!
